Needing something to change

I need somethings in my life to change… I think we all do. Wanting a change, knowing we need a change and being able to make the change are not however always the same thing. Maybe the thing you need to change is outside of your control, maybe it is a systemic or structural change that you cannot change alone. Perhaps you know something needs to change but you don’t know how to make this happen… So, wherever you fall on the needing change spectrum (I think I am in all of these categories right now) – you are not the only one. Just breath and remember that today is as good a time as any to think about making changes for the future. After all, it isn’t Monday. As it is #thoughtfulthursday perhaps one’s resolution for change stands a better chance of success than it may have on a Monday bunched in with a weeks worth of good intentions.

This is from a piece musing on the feeling of understanding we need to make changes for the future and not quite being ready to make them …
