3am Thoughts

This is about me, not you… Josie says, surprising no one. This is a poem about loving me – about dreaming about being happy and connected to myself. The person I should be the closest to, but often feel the furthest from.

Moving through the rivers
Naked, ready for more
Water like silk on my skin
Soothing my soul
Drifting through clear waters
Despite the oceans that part us
Come back to me
Meet me there to swim
Be the soft smooth touch on my skin
The one I love in my dreams
